Scriptwriting at AFTRS by Catherine Cox

I am about to embark on a 10 week scriptwriting course with the well established and talented Anne Brooksbank through AFTRS (Australian Film, Television and Radio School.
Anne Brooksbank is the AFI Award winning writer of Newsfront—one of the most celebrated Australian films of all time. She has also written episodes for TV shows such as Halifax f.p. and Water Rats.
I am really excited about doing this short course. I remember writing my very first script, "Basis In Fact" when I was in Lausanne, Switzerland visiting my brother. The idea that had been quietly simmering in the back of my mind for weeks,suddnely all came to me in a gush. I sat in the stairwell at 3am and just wrote.
I really enjoy the creative process of writing. I am looking forward to going indepth into the more technical aspects of writing scripts.
