Carnival Hour Plays Competition
I have entered into the Toowoomba Repertory Theatre, Carnival Hour Plays competition. They have changed their format. This year the play must be 50–75 minutes long. The winners will workshop their play with the theatre group and a dramaturg. The winning two plays will be shown at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in September.

Destination Blues promotional video
Destination Blues Steam Train esperience was so much fun to work on. A train load of merry passengers on a beautiful old steam train journey up to Glass House Mountain and back...a wonderful experience to capture on video.

Edith's Choice
Edith's Choice is a Brisbane Movie Makers club project. I am camera operator and lighting person for this project. This scene included 20+ extras and was quite a big setup with tracks and rails used. Mon Komo have been a great support for this small budget production.

Mutiny on the Gayundah
The pilot for 'Mutiny on the Gayundah' now has a trailer. Richard Lancester and Ben McShea have both done a great job in producing this full length TV pilot. I have really enjoyed being part of this project and cannot wait for it to be screened.

Pepper's Ghost Presentation
I did a small presentation on Pepper's Ghost Technique at Brisbane Movie Makers. I left it all to the last day, and so was up until 3 am filming myself against a black backdrop. I played with merging the 'ghost' with physical environment.

Mutiny on the Gayundah
I am involved in the pilot for the TV series 'QLD's History Mysteries'. It is a really fun project. I try to spend most of my time behind the scenes, but with such a small team, I have had to 'volunteer' to be in front of the camera also.

Top 9 Entrants for One Act Play Competition
I came in the top 9 out of over 70 entrants. I am really excited about this. This gave me the opportunuity to receive feedback from the three official judges. Quality feedback was worth so much more than the prizes. I would like to thank the Toowoomba Repertory theatre and the judges for this competition. I am going to rework this play. You never know, it may be on stage sometime in the near future.

Scriptwriting at AFTRS
I am about to embark on a 10 week scriptwriting course with the well established and talented Anne Brooksbank through AFTRS (Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Anne Brooksbank is the AFI Award winning writer of Newsfront—one of the most celebrated Australian films of all time. She has also written episodes for TV shows such as Halifax f.p. and Water Rats.

One Act Play Competition
I have entered into the Toowoomba Repertory Theatre one act play competition. The winning three plays will be shown at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in the latter half of the month. It is the first time I have written a play since writing Basis in Fact back in 2002.

Winner of GIS Day Videographer's Competition
I still don't know how I did it, but I won the International GIS Day, Brisbane, videographer' competition. It goes to show, it is worth the effort. Not only did I gain some fantastic expeience, but I also won a $500 apple voucher.

GIS Day Videographer's Competition
I bought this beautiful new Panasonic Lumix GH4 DSLR recently, mostly for its video. Wanting a good excuse to test run the video capabilities as well as get some experience in gorilla style filming, I decided to enter the International GIS Day videographer's competition, in Brisbane, on 19 November, 2014.
